For files, meeting agenda or publicity issues, contact the Vice
President; for all other concerns, contact the President.
The PRESIDENT must be a
General Member in good standing of the chapter and of National
RWA, and shall serve as spokesperson for the chapter; call
and preside over all general chapter and Board meetings; serve
as ex-officio member of all committees except the Nominating
Committee; execute chapter business as specified by the Board;
appoint, with Board approval, qualified members to fill any
Board vacancies; and encourage chapter members to support,
participate in and get involved with National RWA elections,
committees, projects, functions, etc. The President shall
vote when voting is taken by ballot; when voting is not by
ballot, the President shall vote only to break a tie.
> The VICE PRESIDENT must be
a General Member in good standing of the chapter and of National
RWA, and shall, as approved by the President, set the agenda
for general chapter and Board meetings; appoint, with approval
of the Board, such committees as may from time to time be
necessary; coordinate all activities and fulfill any other
obligations designated by the Board; and encourage chapter
members to support, participate in and get involved with National
RWA elections, committees, projects, functions, etc. The Vice-President
shall be a voting member of the Board.
> The SECRETARY must be a
General Member in good standing of the chapter and of National
RWA, and shall be responsible for new membership applications;
attendance; recording minutes of the meetings; keeping chapter
records, including copies of newsletters, RWA communications,
chapter business correspondence, and press releases and publicity;
and mailing notices and chapter newsletters. The Secretary
may also write the newsletter. The Secretary shall also keep
an up-to-date list of chapter members in good standing for
use by the chapter officers and to forward to the RWA Office
with the yearly affiliation dues.
The TREASURER must be a
General Member in good standing of the chapter and of National
RWA, and shall be responsible for collecting dues; notifying
the President and Secretary of delinquent members; keeping
the financial records of the chapter in good order; preparing
regular listing of members in good standing to provide to
the Secretary; and providing an accurate and up-to-date financial
statement every six months for the Chapter Board. In addition,
the Treasurer shall present the annual audited report to the
members. (The finances of the chapter must be kept in accordance
with the law of the state in which the chapter is incorporated
and in accordance with sound accounting principles.)
